Love Brew :)

The idea of waiting for one day to show your adoration for one another is contradictory to the whole concept of love. This emotion is the foundation of empathy. We bound to each other in loyalty, obligation and trust with this action. Before you go on, this is not an anti-holiday letter nor am I attempting to give you my conspiracy theory. I just wanted to set the affectionate tone.

Setting the tone has always been important when engaging on romance. Aphrodisiacs come in a variety of forms. Whether a carefully prepared dish or particular aroma, when presented properly can spark the electricity of the night. “Scent is managed by the front of the brain, which sends information to other areas of the body and is immediately redirected to the regions responsible for interpreting emotion and memory, the amygdala and the hippocampus”. Fragrances can take you to a place of euphoria without leaving the room you stand in. With the right understanding of your partner, you can possibly create your own scent for your lover. Here are some scents that are guaranteed to set the tone: vanilla, ginseng, saffron, patchouli, jasmine, sandalwood, labdanum, blood orange, oak moss, ylang ylang. I can honestly say that I am unsure of the 50% of the names that I listed but feel free to try them out and give me a review!

The best thing about sensual dishes is not only being satisfied from a full appetite but being satisfied from effects of the dish. Of course, being too full can backfire and cause you to fall asleep. Making the perfectly sized dish with the right seasons can bring all the spice you need. “The key to spicing up your love life, certain foods do have 'feel good' compounds, such as capsaicin in chili peppers that enhance bodily sensations or antioxidants in fruits like cherries, pomegranates, figs and strawberries that improve your blood flow”. Here is a list of foods you can use to bring life to your night: artichokes, asparagus, chocolate, figs, oysters, spicy chili peppers, strawberries, watermelon.

Although Valentine’s Day has passed, never hesitate to create romance for someone who is truly deserving. Nothing like a sweet blend to keep the happiness flowing.
